Scientific Field Trip to Samarra Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company

As part of student activities, the Department of Pharmacy at Al-Safwa University College organized a scientific field trip to the State Company for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances (SDI)—one of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities located in Samarra, Salah al-Din Governorate.

The trip was attended by fifth-year pharmacy students under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ra’ed Mohammed Mazloum.

The company is recognized for its compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and has also obtained ISO 9001 certification.

Distinguished by its highly skilled technical, administrative, and scientific personnel, the company employs a team of experts and specialists in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control laboratories. The visiting group from our college was warmly received by the company’s technical and administrative staff, who also expressed their keen willingness to collaborate with the Pharmacy Department in areas of scientific research and training programs.
