Festival against violence against women

As part of the activities of Guidance Week, the Psychological Guidance and Educational Counselling Unit at Al-Safwa University College, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy, organized a festival to combat violence against women.

The festival commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech from the college administration, delivered by Professor Dr. Ali Za’lan Ni’ma. His address focused on the phenomenon of domestic violence, its various forms, and the mechanisms for addressing it in light of the applicable Iraqi laws, as well as the proposed legislation on the matter.
